Exploring new places and meeting new people is what energizes me most. Sometimes that means traveling to the other side of the world or simply to a new spot in my hometown of Charlottesville. Wherever I go with my camera in hand, I am documenting the earth taking back its land; people in their intimate settings enjoying friends, family and food; old towns built up by the influence of history, art, religion – or built from scratch after an earthquake. Stories are all around us. Capturing them is my version of the truth in that moment.
