I met Chris Tilghman back in 2003 when I made photos of him for his book Mason's Retreat. He has been using that image for over 8 years now so when he contacted me about a new author portrait I was delighted to work with him again. Chris claims that being the subject of a photo is like “being at the dentist”, but you would never know as he seems so relaxed. He's got a great look and personality and we got a ton of incredible shots. I can't wait to see which photo he chooses for the dust jacket.
Chris Tilghman resides in Charlottesville, Va. His new book is being published by Farrar Straus and Giroux and will come out Spring 2012. Check back then and I will post a link to the book.
